Match Report
Bloxham School 2nd XV vs  King Edward's School, Birmingham
On: Wednesday, 04 Oct 2017
Venue: Away

A disappointing result, having battled hard to be leading 14-5 going into the break. Edet scored a good breakaway try, with the team putting the work from the training session from the day before into good use with a nice draw and give. S-P added the extras, and then from the kick-off, Haylor set off on a maurading run. He caught the ball and ran it back winding through the opposition to score. S-P duly converted and 14-0 was the score. The opposition managed to score on the stroke of half-time and it was all to play for. The loss of Prior, Morgan and Edet in quick succession in the second half unsteadied the ship and a slight failure to adapt to conditions put in front of us saw KES score two tries and eventually come away with the game 17-14. The result was perhaps a little unfair on the team with many working hard to ensure that we were within reach at all stages of the game, none more so than MoM, Maccoll who was tireless in defence and good in the loose too. On to Dean Close on Saturday, and a chance to right the wrongs from the match today. SDAT
