Match Report
Bloxham School 1st XV vs  Dean Close School
On: Saturday, 07 Oct 2017
Venue: Away

To concede fifty points is never a pleasant experience for a losing side, but this was a cracking encounter which would have delighted any neutral observer, and Dean Close are a powerful side who remain unbeaten and look likely to claim some big scalps by the end of the season. Bloxham did well to be still in touch at half time, trailing 24-17 thanks to two great tries from Toby Staveley Parker and Percy Hunt, the latter after a scorching break down the wing from Robert Helyer. Outgunned in the loose, Bloxham never stopped running the ball from everywhere on the pitch. Toby added another individual effort in the second half to add to his two conversions and a penalty, before Bloxham tired in the closing minutes, conceding three late tries which gave the home side a bigger margin of victory than had ever looked likely.

Dean Close 52, Bloxham 22.
