Bloxham 65 Princethorpe 0

A comfortable win for Bloxham but a scoreline which was unfair on a determined Princethorpe outfit who were competitive early on but unable to convert their chances. As so often this season, Bloxham took some time to settle, making some silly errors and incurring the referee's wrath, but tries for captain Stan Deeley and vice-captain Jonny Sealey brought some control to proceedings. Deeley's loss to injury disrupted the side for the next quarter of an hour, but Oli James did a good job once he had arrived from the far-away land of the Raymond Field. In the end Bloxham scored 11 tries, of which the pick were Sealey's second try, a real solo effort, and a beautifully-worked try finished by James Peto at the very end. Bloxham can be pleased with a strong display in which Calum Tarbit, Luis Gonzalez and man-of-the-match Will Lewis-Jones produced eye-catching performances. After the final whistle Mr Walker focused the players' minds on their next challenge, the Warwick match in seven days' time.
